01 Your way to the ship
How you get to Cruise Center HafenCity with us
You park yourself, we do the driving: from the car park at Modering 1 by shuttle to the terminal in the Überseequartier – and back to your car after your cruise.

Car park Modering 1
You drive to the car park in 22457 Hamburg (entrance height max. 2.00 m) and park yourself. Your key stays with you.

Free of charge to the terminal
Our shuttle takes you and your luggage straight to the pick-up zone in front of the terminal. 4 passengers are included; please bring your own child seat.

Cruise Center HafenCity
Überseeboulevard 7, 20457 Hamburg. Luggage drop-off and check-in take place at the terminal. You can usually board until 17:00.

Pick-up and return trip
You reserve your pick-up time and seat online in advance – with your own boarding pass. We collect you in the pick-up zone in front of the terminal or at the airport and take you back to your car.
Shuttle daily from 07:00 to 18:00. Please plan your arrival at the car park within this period – outside these hours no transfer is possible. There is no fixed timetable: we drive as needed, and the approx. 20 minutes are the driving time alone.

Your fixed seat on the shuttle – with your own boarding pass
Just like on a coach: you choose your departure and your seats yourself – for the trip to the terminal and for the pick-up after your cruise. Then you hold your personal boarding pass in your hands.

The seat reservation is part of the transfer and mandatory. Please be at the car park at least 15 minutes before departure.
03 The terminal
The new Cruise Center HafenCity
Since spring 2025 the cruise ships in the HafenCity have been berthing at a new terminal. It is part of the Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier, forms the southern end of the quarter and was officially opened on 12 September 2025. It replaces the former Cruise Center HafenCity.
The terminal is operated – like Steinwerder and Altona – by CGH Cruise Gate Hamburg GmbH.
According to the operator, Chicagostraße 3 is intended solely for suppliers and logistics partners. Some older websites still give the address of the former terminal (Großer Grasbrook 12).

The terminal on four levels
If someone drops you off or picks you up
With our shuttle you get to the terminal directly, luggage and all. According to the operator, the following applies to companions:
- Kiss & RideDesignated drop-off and pick-up spaces in the car park: access via Osakaallee, then level −2 (green area “G”). Anyone leaving again within 15 minutes pays nothing.
- TaxiEntrance to the taxi terminal at the Osakaallee / Überseeallee junction, next to the Port des Lumières.
- UndergroundU4, Überseequartier station – one stop from Jungfernstieg, two from the main station.

Which ships berth at Cruise Center HafenCity
Ships from many cruise lines berth here. According to the official call list from Cruise Gate Hamburg, in autumn and winter 2026 these include, for example:

What counts is the terminal stated in your travel documents. Cruise Gate Hamburg allocates the berths, and some ships – HANSEATIC nature or MSC Preziosa, for example – berth at different terminals depending on the date.
Not a problem for your booking: our shuttle serves all three terminals. In the booking form you simply choose your ship and your travel date.

05 Travel day
Departure and return: what to expect on your travel day
The exact times are set by your cruise line and are stated in your travel documents. These points will help you plan.
Departure day outward trip
- Complete the cruise line's check-in
Example TUI Cruises (Mein Schiff): according to the cruise line, online check-in is compulsory for every traveller. If you have booked your journey to and from the port yourself, you also have to book a check-in time slot.

Our shuttle runs daily from 07:00 to 18:00, as needed rather than to a fixed timetable. Please plan your arrival at Modering 1 within this period.
- By shuttle to the terminal
In about 20 minutes' driving time you are at the Cruise Center; we stop right in the pick-up zone in front of the terminal. Luggage drop-off and check-in take place at the terminal – you can usually board until 17:00.
Return day return trip

Your ship's arrival time in Hamburg is stated in your travel documents. On the morning of arrival all guests have to leave the ship first, by around 10:00.
- Pick-up at the terminal
You reserve your pick-up time and seat online in advance – with your own boarding pass. We collect you in the pick-up zone in front of the terminal and take you back to your car. The shuttle runs daily from 07:00 to 18:00.
- Travelling home by plane?
If your journey ends with a flight to Hamburg, we collect you at the airport – the transfer is included.

Right in the city: around the terminal
The ships berth right in the city here: the terminal is integrated directly into the Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier.
- ÜberseequartierFrom the terminal you reach shops, restaurants, hotels and cultural and leisure attractions directly – Port des Lumières and the LEGO Discovery Centre, for example.
- ElbphilharmonieOn the way in, the ships pass the Landungsbrücken and the Elbphilharmonie.
- SpeicherstadtVery close by and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015. The Miniatur Wunderland is within walking distance.
- City centreOn the U4 it is one stop to Jungfernstieg and two to the main station.

How early should I be at the car park?
From the car park at Modering 1 allow around 20 minutes' driving time to Cruise Center HafenCity, plus a little time for parking and loading your luggage. What counts is the check-in window in your travel documents. We drive daily between 07:00 and 18:00; if your window falls outside these hours, please talk to us before booking. You can usually board until 17:00.
How do I know whether my ship berths at Cruise Center HafenCity?
